SEEEG Overview

Mission statement
The purposes of this society shall be as follows:

1. To promote scientific advancement in the field of epilepsy and EEG
2. To promote the free exchange of information concerning epilepsy and EEG and the developments in the field in the South
3. To encourage the development and maintenance of high scientific standards in the field of epilepsy and EEG in the South.
4. To establish a central source from which interested individuals may obtain information concerning training, education, technical support, etc. in the field of epilepsy and EEG.
5. To promote clinical education and knowledge by offering courses and scientific programs which addresses the needs of the membership and health-related professionals

Our Society Goals
The Southern Epilepsy and EEG Society is dedicated to:

• The advancement of and pursuit of excellence in epilepsy and EEG in the southeast.
• The pursuit of excellence in medical education, especially as it concerns to epilepsy and EEG.
• The advancement of neuroscience research in the field of epilepsy and EEG.
• The communication of scientific and scholarly information through scientific meetings and educational programs.

SEEEG Society History
The Society first meeting took place in Dallas, December 5, 1948. The rest is history...
